Kitchen Assistant

*King's Daughters Child Care Center* *Kitchen Assistant* *Part-time 9-1:30pm Monday-Friday* Responsibilities: * To be able to move about the kitchen and the Center easily and quickly.
* Use kitchen equipment safely.
* Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils and dishes.
* Sweeping and mopping the kitchen/cafeteria floors as well as wiping down all walls.
* Maintain appropriate inventory of cleaning supplies for kitchen including the dishwasher chemicals.
* Table setting and bringing meals to classrooms.
· To clean up after meals and ongoing cleaning to maintain the highest level of sanitation in the kitchen/cafeteria.
· Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies.
* Organizing and correctly storing food supplies.
* Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
* Other duties as assigned by Center or Executive Director.
Kitchen Assistant Requirements: * High school diploma or GED.
* Proven experience assisting in kitchens.
* A food handler's license.
* Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
* The ability to stand for extended periods.
* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* The ability to work in a team.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Effective communication skills.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $10.
00 - $12.
