Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with a strong background in building scalable, high-quality, and high-performance solutions on Microsoft .
Net Framework Technologies.
This individual will work closely with our team to develop a cloud-based solution for digital storage and editing of information packages.
Responsibilities:
- Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications
- Develop detailed programming specifications
- Write and/or generate code
- Compile data-driven programs, maintain, and conduct unit tests
- Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages
- Provide technical assistance in implementation, conversion, and migrations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the entire Software Development Life Cycle as well as Microsoft .
Net Framework Technologies, developing web-based applications in the client/server environment
- Extensive implementation experience in installation, configuration, customization, and extension of Microsoft Azure
- Experience in deployment, troubleshooting, and production support for the applications developed
- Experience and knowledge of Web Development skills like HTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, and Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010
- Expertise in database systems, MS SQL 2005, 2008, 2012, and stored procedures
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications
- Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices
- Experience with middleware and gateways
- Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing, debugging
- Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues
- Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team
- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
- Ability to provide user and system documentation as required
Work Schedule:
This position is currently listed as "Onsite"; however, the assignment under this request will provisionally be “Hybrid”, working 7.
25 hours per calendar day, sometime between 8:00-5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) Monday to Friday inclusive for three (3) days onsite and two (2) days remote (offsite), unless otherwise identified.
These conditions are subject to change as the company reflects on its current situation.
During the duration of the assignment, you will be under the discretion of the Hiring Manager’s requirements for the assigned Project.
