GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES:
Perform general weatherization work involving the weather stripping, general repair and insulation of the homes of low-income persons, warehousing and workshop activities.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLIES:
1.
Responsible for the whereabouts and proper maintenance of all assigned tools and equipment.
2.
Perform general warehouse activities including loading and unloading vehicles, sorting and stocking material and equipment.
3.
Work at home-sites installing storm windows, weather stripping, caulking, and making other home repairs necessary to reduce cold air infiltration.
4.
Work at home-sites insulating attics, crawl spaces, and basements using cellulose insulation, and insulation material.
5.
Maintain the vehicle mileage log when assigned to drive an agency vehicle.
6.
Perform all other duties resulting in the effective and efficient operation of the program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2.
Experience or training in construction trades, home weatherization or related field.
3.
Must attend required trainings required by funding sources' rules and regulations or any training deemed necessary by Program Coordinator.
4.
Ability able to follow instructions, work outside in all types of weather, provide own clothing suitable for working in all types of weather conditions.
5.
Ability to use various tools and equipment or willingness and ability to learn.
6.
Ability to lift fifty pounds and ability to climb various heights.
7.
Ability to communicate effectively with people of all socio-economic levels, particularly low-income families and respect confidentiality rights of families.
8.
Sensitivity to needs of low-income people, and ability to maintain cooperative relationships with community and government agencies and organizations.
9.
Must interact well with others and be able to resolve interpersonal conflicts.
10.
Belmont County resident preferred, but not required.
11.
Must have valid driver's license with reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
