Department: Line Operations Reports To: Supervisor or General Foreman Manages: Line Personnel Interacts With: Line personnel Administrative personnel Subcontractors Suppliers Position Objective: Manage and work alongside Line Crews to ensure that construction projects meet company and customer objectives of safety, schedule, performance, cost, and quality.
Essential Functions: Effectively manage projects and personnel as required while promoting safety.
Communicate and work with lines personnel to be aware of the status of construction progress and possible upcoming issues.
Provide direction, support, and assistance to the line employees to ensure the safe accomplishment of their duties.
Actively participate in new project transition.
Provide input in the development of the project schedule.
Provide input in the development of subcontractor and supplier scopes of work.
Review purchase orders, subcontracts, and other documents issued for the project.
Effectively control project costs.
Work alongside line employees to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
Review job cost reports with Supervisor or General Foreman to ensure the accuracy of the estimated cost to complete the projects.
Skills and Knowledge: Minimum 5-years energized electrical line and substation construction experience.
Leadership skills Communication skills Analytical skills Intermediate computer skills Read and interpret drawings and specifications Working Foreman position requires near and far visual acuity.
Working Foreman position requires a valid driver s class D minimum license – Class A CDL preferred but not required.
Working Foreman position is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, and hazards.
Additionally, position is required to transverse steep and uneven terrain, thick brush, and slippery surfaces on a regular basis.
Travel throughout PA, WV, and OH is required.
