*Job Summary*
The Commissioning Specialist will work under the direction of a Team Lead to contribute to production line set-up, including process equipment installation, commissioning & start-up activities.
Collaborate with equipment vendors and skilled trades craftspeople in the field to identify and address issues with the support of the leadership team.
Other tasks include: witness testing and checkout activities of installing contractors and participate in/witness testing activities.
Compose and issue commissioning site visit reports.
Communicate and interact with project team members, client representatives, review agencies and others as appropriate to project; assist in resolving a variety of complex problems (e.
g.
, conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
Interfaces with design discipline(s), installing contractors, OEM’s and suppliers to perform functions described above.
*Responsibilities*
* Work under the guidance of a Team Lead for process equipment installation, commissioning & start-up activities
* Execute HVAC & mechanical utility equipment commissioning tasks for major industrial projects
* Collaborate with vendors and skilled tradespeople to identify and resolve field issues with leadership support
* Participate in witness testing and checkout activities of contractors
* Compose and issue commissioning site visit reports
* Communicate effectively with project team members, client representatives, review agencies
* Assist in resolving complex problems such as conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination tasks
*Experience*
* AAS/BS Degree in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial)
* Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing facility production line set-up and equipment installation projects
* Proficient with MS Office tools
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including extensive walking, working on elevated platforms, and confined spaces
* Commitment to safety with meticulous attention to detail
* Willingness to work overtime, typically between 40-50 hours per week
* FIELD experience in PROCESS/PRODUCTION equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up
