Accountant

Accountant Northwood Health Systems is a leading behavioral health company dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals in need.

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Accountant is integral to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
You will work closely with our operations team to provide informed decision-making contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
At least 2 years' experience in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, with additional experience with accounts payable and payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Office.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities: Maintain an adequate accounting system (i.
e.
, payroll, accounts payable/cash disbursements, accounts receivable/cash receipts, fixed assets/depreciation, accrued expenses, accrued revenues and all other relevant activities) which encompasses generally accepted accounting principles as well as other regulations, as related to the corporation and its subsidiaries.
Provide accurate financial reporting to the Northwood management.
Assist in maintaining cash management and working with our banking institutions regarding these matters.
Prepare accurate financial records and work directly with the company's outside auditing firm.
Assist Management in the preparation and analysis of reports.
