Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities: - Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities - Support the lead teacher in managing the classroom environment and ensuring a safe and nurturing space for children - Assist with behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional development - Help create a stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity - Assist with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, and social-emotional growth - Provide individualized attention and support to children with special needs or learning challenges - Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess children's progress and communicate with parents/guardians about their child's development - Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment Requirements: - Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting - Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices - Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies - Ability to assist with curriculum development and implementation - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team - Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules Preferred Skills: - Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children - Knowledge of literacy education and early math concepts Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
