The Department of Accounting, Business Administration, and Economics at Franciscan University of Steubenville (FUS) seeks to hire a full-time non-tenure-track faculty member.
The professor we are seeking to hire should be an experienced faculty member with real-world accounting and business experience who is committed to teaching excellence *or* a senior accountant with a CPA or CMA who can apply the knowledge in the academic environment with a commitment to the responsibilities involved with a full-time faculty role.
In addition, candidates should be passionate about the mission of the University and have a compelling vision that aligns teaching excellence, business innovation, best practices, and the very best academic disciplines related to business.

*MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Teach accounting courses for the undergraduate program and graduate program in a student-centered and mission-oriented environment.
* Provide direction and strategic vision to the undergraduate accounting program and contribute to our graduate program.
* Provide students with a solid accounting educational experience grounded in relevant real-world scenarios that incorporate best practices that are centered on Catholic social teaching and the Catholic intellectual tradition.
* Support and connect with students with accounting internship opportunities.
* Collaborate with faculty on program development initiatives and sharing best practices for teaching excellence.
* Study and implement the very best research in the field of accounting and business.
* Be a present and visible leader of the program on campus, with the local business community, and with other key stakeholders, including the student body, career services, and enrollment.
* Participate in program accreditation duties.
* Engage in university service and scholarly activity which aligns a growth mindset with department expectations.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* A graduate degree in a business discipline (e.
g.
, MACC, MBA with accounting concentration) with minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience required.
* Doctoral Degree in accounting or business leadership preferred,
* A current CPA or CMA license
* Qualified to teach tax law (preferred).
* Commitment to the mission of the University.
* Devoted to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with relevant accounting rules and standards.
* Demonstrated commitment to and (preferred) evidence of teaching excellence and curriculum development.
